Google-type environment in Alphaland City Club

A high-end membership club in Makati is bent on proving that creating a Google-type environment in the Philippines is not impossible.

Infact, it’s now on the way to achieving such mission three years after opening its doors to members.

The Alphaland City Club, an exclusive members-only leisure-business club, said at any given time its mission to reach 2,000 members can be achieved as more and more professionals are realizing the unique and cozy ambience of the club.

For P1.5 million lifetime membership, any member and his immediate family can use all the facilities at the three-hectare City Club divided in three floors of the Alphaland building along Ayala across Malugay Street, Makati.

I’ve been to the Google headquarters and I can say this place is the only exact version of that environment,” Nick Belasco, City Club general manager, told the Daily Tribune in an exclusive interview at the club lounge of the facility.

Google’s unique environment, where restaurants abound and the surroundings sprawling, has finally paid off as it is now the world’s most valuable brand in the planet valued at $109.5 billion. It replaced Apple after occupying the top spot for many years.

A member of the club can literally combine work, play, dining and wellness in one as all state-of-the-art facilities are found in this venue.

Belasco said no other facility in the Philippines can match the amenities found at their place.

“There’s no one like this in the country,” he added.

Found at the city club are eight fine dine restaurants, spas, badminton court, squash court, gym equipped with cardio vascular machine, dance studio, private screening room, 80-seater auditorium, tennis court, billiards, table tennis and six meeting/board rooms with various capacities.

“It’s everything for your family; it’s everything for your business,” he added.

Being a member of the city club is having a share of it that can be sold to anyone upon the owner’s discretion. “It’s an investment because it also appreciates,” he explained.

A unique guarantee at the club is that it’s not crowded. “If they want a crowded place, they better go to the malls. That’s a very big different here. This is not open to the public,” the GM, who won eight PBA championships in his 17-year basketball career. According to Belasco, the place is perfect for business meetings as it is the only place where the who’s who in business converge.

The concept of this place is entirely similar to Balesin exclusive resort as both places have the same owner.
