Apa Ongpin here. I’m your new acting General Manager at The City Club.
 
I’d like to show you what I had for lunch today. It’s the Wagyu cheeseburger at Mark’s Prime Rib, P375. Plump and juicy, this is a gourmet burger made from the Mt. Kita wagyu beef, raised in Bukidnon. I noticed some of you were surprised to hear of this burger, as many thought Mark’s serves only steak.
 
This has been a successful menu item for us, so we will be expanding the sandwiches and casual food offerings in Mark’s and other outlets, for your working lunches and meetings.

 

 

I’d also like to show you the inside of the Tabacalera Cigar Divan, and let you know that it is now available for meetings, at the same rate as our meeting rooms in the business center: P5,000, consumable for 4 hours. The Tabacalera Cigar Divan is not just for smokers. In fact, we noticed that a lot of people like to hold meetings in our library, because they like the atmosphere and the more casual seating. But the library holds 20 people maximum, and some of these meetings are in the 30-40 guests range. The Tabacalera Cigar Divan is a more ideal size for this.

 

 

If the Tabacalera Cigar DIvan is booked for a meeting, we have a separate smoking room for those of us who smoke, located near the squash court. We will make it comfortable for you.

 
We will be making changes here and there, and introducing new things for you to try at The City Club. As always, many of these things are based on your feedback, which I am happy to receive. Send me an e-mail, or I would be happy to chat with you when you’re here at the club.
